Eichholtz
Brand Spotlight

Oozing style and sophistication, Eichholtz is an internationally well-known designer brand, in the world of furniture and accessories. The brand personifies glamour, opulence and deceptive comfort all rolled into one. It’s the little touches of finesse, and the matching accessories that make the Eichholtz brand so iconic.

History of Eichholtz

It all started after a trip through Asia, with his friend Auke Wichers in the 1990s. It was that trip that changed Theo Eichholtz’s life forever. Inspired by his surroundings and his love of Chinese colonial furniture, it sparked a red hot passion. From that moment he embarked upon a journey to share his love of elegant furniture. He started to import unique pieces of furniture back to his home country in Holland. On their return from their travels, they then put together a design team that began to create gorgeous pieces of furniture and accessories. It was this that marked the beginning of the Eichholtz brand. Today, the company employs highly skilled craftsmen from around the globe, including countries like Burma, India, China, Thailand and Indonesia, an area of the world where the inspiration all began.

The unique Eichholtz style

It’s glamorous, eclectic and delivers on pure craftsmanship. Each item is carefully crafted using only the top of the range materials, sourced from across the globe. The pieces are thoughtfully put together as collections, which enables a room, or an entire home to be furnished, and cleverly styled in the Eichholtz brand. It is this unique feature that makes the brand stand out from the crowd.

Eichholtz furniture is innovative, dramatic and the epitome of luxury. The pieces are a blend of impressions and ideas from around the world, brought together to create individuality. The use of traditional materials is obvious. Cast copper, carved wood, blown glass, and rattan weave feature heavily. The finish and quality are clear to see. The delightfully chic contemporary chairs, console tables, lighting, and the added finesse on the accessories makes the Eichholtz brand shine. Eichholtz has furnished over 10,000 luxury hotels, clubs, restaurants, stores and homes throughout the world. His extensive collection covers a myriad of iconic styles.

Let’s take a peek at how we can easily style two rooms using some of the Eichholtz range, to add glitz, and definitely luxury.

The Dining Room

Eichholtz dining chairs

The fabulous curve on the back of The Fallon chair is inspired. Designed to fit gracefully around the arch of your back, no detail has been spared. The clean balanced lines of this contemporary dining chair are topped off with complex stitching and co-ordinated piping on the luxurious upholstery. This chair would make any dining table look simply stunning. Adding some mix and match with the Eichholtz Key Largo Arm Chair at each end of the table creates a twist. This is one gorgeous dining chair that would look equally fabulous next to a console table as an occasional chair. It’s upholstered in black cashmere, and the polished nickel stud detail completes the look. There’s a round handle on the back that adds charm but is also extremely practical when pulling the chairs away from the table. It’s the little details that make this chair a real winner.

Eichholtz lighting

It would be inconsiderate not to add some beautiful Eichholtz lighting into the mix over the dining table. The Eichholtz Summit Chandelier is a real statement piece that has countless lighting options. It also has a remote control so that you can create the right lighting ambience, to really impress the dinner guests.

If there’s a plain wall that needs livening up, then it’s the ideal place for the Eichholtz Palmer Console Table. Adding in some atmospherics by accessorising and placing the Eichholtz Castello Tea Light Holder on the top will definitely create the wow factor. It’s multi-levelled and can hold 9 twinkling tea lights.

The Lounge

It’s just so easy to continue the theme into the lounge by introducing the Eichholtz Palmer Coffee Table. It’s fabulously contemporary and features geometric sculpted legs, in a choice of gold or a stainless steel finish. The smoked glass top is raised and adds a futuristic dimension to the overall geometric design. It’s a stunning coffee table that would add a touch of drama to any living space. It also has matching side tables that look simply stunning sitting either side of a sofa.

Eichholtz Table Lamps

It’s a doddle to finish the look, by adding subtle lighting with an Eichholtz Windolf table lamp on each side table. This is a beautifully crafted table lamp that combines black granite with nickel to produce a stunning, contemporary, lighting feature.

There’s no doubt that the Eichholtz brand is leading edge when it comes to interior styling. The clever way in which pieces are produced to create a collection makes styling a room to designer standards simple. With a bold selection of chairs, tables, lighting and quirky accessories, you only need to add one piece to make a statement, or easily fill a room with sumptuousness. Whenever you see the name Eichholtz you know it’s going to be stylish, of the utmost quality, and magnificent.
